No error messages result; the files just never open with PowerPoint 2016. They open perfectly well however if I open them with PowerPoint 2011. I’m a writer and have hundreds of documents on Word 2007 and I came to find out it will not interact with 2016 with all my Word 2007 documents. I phoned Microsoft and asked what the issue was and they said its a software issue and it can’t be fixed. Unbelievable, they put this in the market only to cause major frustration. I would switch to Apple but I don’t want to learn a new operating system.
